What we collect

When you send a rental request or a message, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the item and dates you asked about, a delivery ZIP and address if you chose delivery, and any notes you add. We need these to quote the rental and to bring it to you.

We also record where you arrived from (for example a search engine, an AI assistant, or a link someone sent you), the page you landed on, and your browser's user agent. Your IP address is hashed with a secret salt before it is stored, so we can recognise repeated abuse from one source without keeping the address itself.

What we do with it

We use it to answer your request, arrange the rental, and follow up about it. We look at the aggregate patterns (which items get asked for, which areas order delivery, how much notice people give) to decide what to stock next.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email you did not ask for. The only emails you get from a request are the confirmation and our reply.

Who else sees it

Three service providers process data on our behalf: Vercel hosts this website, Supabase stores the requests, and Resend delivers the email. Google Analytics measures aggregate site traffic. Each of them sees only what their job requires.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages and channels bring people here. It sets cookies for that purpose. We also store one item in your browser's local storage recording where you first arrived from, so a request you send later is credited to the right source. Blocking cookies or clearing storage costs you nothing on this site; every page and the request form work exactly the same.

How long we keep it

Rental requests and messages are kept while they are useful for servicing your rental and for our own records, and reviewed periodically after that. Ask us to delete yours and we will, unless we are required to keep a record of a completed transaction.

Your choices

Email rentals@steradianlabs.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. There is no account to close and no subscription to cancel.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Steradian Rentals is part of Steradian Labs.
